Wheels in Motion

Finally! After 45 days of college, IIT Bhubaneswar has finally started taking shape as one. Over the past month and half, some of the innovative minds of the insti fine tuned and have finally presented a vision of the non academic and cultural life here. Cheers to them all!

Since its inception, IIT Bhubaneswar has had quite a see saw ride. On one hand, we have the freshers who have come to experience something new with a few visions of their own. On the other, we have the second years who have had a hard time leaving IIT Kharagpur after having had a blast there for a year. It has taken us all a long time to get acquainted to IIT Bhubaneswar in Bhubaneswar. Now there's no looking back. Onward we march, with dreams, hopes and visions.

Sorry for getting sidetracked guys, been some time since I updated this blog and got carried away at it. The point of this post is the announcing of the beginning of the cultural life. Today, Sep 4th, 6 student societies have started functioning. The students were given a presentation about each society individually by concerned students in the General Seminar slot. They are :

• E Cell
• Dance Society
• Robotics
• Music Society
• Dramatics Society
• Literary Society

The purpose of each society is self explanatory.

Now that the wheels have been set in motion, let us gear up for whatever the journey throws up against us. It is guaranteed to be a fun filled and tumultuous ride. Sit back and enjoy!

Brand Identity of IIT BBS Revealed

First of all we apologise for not updating the blog.Now we are back and will update everything that has happened in IIT BBS from the first day.

The logo of IIT Bhubaneswar has been finalised.It is designed by National Institute of Design,Ahmedabad.

Symbolism:

The logo primarily represents the holistic philosophy of IIT Bhubaneswar.

The two surrounding semi circle form the environment and ambit of IIT Bhubaneswar,while the open book inside represents knowledge and source of wisdom.The symmetric petals are symbolic of freshness and inspire growth for infinite knowledge.
